Mai Hoon Dhanbad, in joint collaboration with the Dhanbad Rail Division and Aarya Dev Samarpan Seva Foundation, conducted a wide-reaching awareness campaign at Dhanbad Railway Station covering cleanliness, civic responsibility, and life-saving measures in emergency situations. The event was attended by chief guest Mr. Manish Saurabh (Senior Divisional Commercial Manager) and special guest Dr. Lav Kumar.
MHD volunteers and Dhanbad Rail Division officials encouraged passengers and citizens to keep their surroundings, trains, and stations clean, and appealed to the public to play an active role in protecting public property. Railway officials also educated passengers and citizens on the importance and process of CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation), explaining that in emergencies such as sudden illness or cardiac arrest, filming a video is not the answer — immediate assistance and CPR can save a life. A practical CPR demonstration was conducted during the event.
To make the campaign more impactful, children performed an inspiring street play (nukkad natak) titled "Dhanbad Hamara Hai, Swachhata Ki Zimmedari Bhi Hamari Hai – Hum Badlenge, Jag Badlega" ("Dhanbad is ours, the responsibility for cleanliness is ours too — we will change, the world will change"), delivering a message on cleanliness, civic duty, and social participation that was well received by attending passengers.
Addressing the event, Senior DCM Mr. Manish Saurabh praised MHD's ongoing public welfare work and called for such awareness programs to continue regularly, so citizens stay mindful of their duties alongside their rights. MHD President Pooja Ratnakar remarked that people often talk about rights while forgetting their own duties, and emphasized that the organization's core purpose is to keep reminding people of their responsibilities toward society and public property.
