Mai Hoon Dhanbad partnered with NTPC GE Power Services Limited (NGSL) — a joint venture between NTPC and GE — to bring improved sanitation and drinking water access to the underserved community of Panchet village. The initiative focused on two connected needs:
Panchet village's residents faced gaps in basic infrastructure that directly affected daily health and dignity. By combining MHD's on-ground community mobilization with NGSL's corporate support, the project delivered practical, lasting improvements — sanitation facilities and a reliable domestic water supply — for an underprivileged community that had gone without them.
The initiative earned NGSL's formal appreciation. In a letter dated April 3, 2025, Project Director Sanjay Kumar commended MHD's work, writing that the effort would provide sanitation and water access to the underprivileged public of Panchet village, and recognized MHD's resilience and continuing positive impact in the field of environmental hygiene, safety, and public welfare.
